Alison is building this campaign by listening to people across Fayette County - residents, workers, families, small business owners, first responders, public servants, community volunteers, and the people already doing the work.
What Alison is Hearing So Far:
- County facilities support
- Business retention and attraction, with community input a major factor of decisions
- Infrastructure planning
- Recovery, family support, public health
- More efficient, responsive county government
- Emergency services and first responder support, with an emphasis on first responder mental health support and disaster preparedness
- Give the next generation a seat at the table when it comes to Fayette County's development and help them access the tools they need to build themselves into healthy, happy adults
- Housing: Work with state and federal partners to find out-of-the-box solutions
- Community listening sessions throughout the year hosted in different communities to make local government more accessible
- Leverage the Land Reuse Agency as a tool to turn blighted properties into locally owned community assets
